Imagine your house was on fire and you had to leave suddenly…what 3 things would you take with you?
I was doing some self-coaching today and I came across this question and it got me thinking. Of course, I would make sure that my hubby and anyone else in the house was safe and got out but I was struggling to think about what was so important for me to take.
I thought about my phone but I would only want it for the contacts and it would be a useful piece of kit.
I thought about my golf clubs because they would be expensive to replace and I need them tomorrow!
And I thought about some keepsakes because they remind me of certain times.
But, none of these things are really important to me – my phone and golf clubs can be replaced and my memories are stored in my brain and carried around with me.
It helped me think about what was really important to me, what is good in my life and what I am grateful for. And it gave me a different perspective!
Of course, I would not want it to happen but the worst thing about it would be the disruption and the energy it would take to resolve the problems!
What about you? I wonder what would you take?
